Is RoundHQ an alternative to Golf Genius?
For single-event tournament management — entries, groups, mobile scoring and live leaderboards — yes. For season-long leagues, series and order of merit, no: RoundHQ does not build those yet. Check the incumbent's own site for its current capabilities and pricing before deciding.
What makes RoundHQ simpler?
It covers one job well: getting a golf day from entries to a published result. There is no tour-operations suite to configure, no app for players to install, and the organiser dashboard is one screen per task.
What does UK-first mean in practice?
Pricing in pounds, UK date and time formats, Stableford as the default format, and copy written for clubs, societies and charity days rather than translated from a US product.
Do players have to install anything?
No. Players open a revocable scoring link in their phone browser. It works only while the event is active, so an old screenshot of the link cannot be reused later.
What is RoundHQ missing today?
Leagues, series and order of merit, printed tee sheets and scorecards, offline scoring, a public API and white-labelling are not built. Groups and tee times, PDF export and card checkout are in beta. If any of those are must-haves, an incumbent is the better fit right now.
What does it cost?
A free plan for a single event, a one-off Event Pass at £79, or a Club subscription at £149 a month for unlimited tournaments. Pricing is published, not quoted on request.
Can we try it before committing?

Where is our data held and who can see it?
Events are private to your organisation until you publish a public page, and every organiser account only sees its own organisation's data. Only the pages you choose to publish are public.
