For charity and corporate golf days
A charity golf day that looks as good as the cause deserves.
Entries, sponsors, check-in and scoring in one place — so the committee spends the day with guests instead of chasing scorecards around the car park.
- Sponsor logos on public pages
- QR check-in at the desk
- No app for guests
- Free for a single event
Built for the way a golf day is actually organised
Entries that suit teams
One public page for the whole field, with a waitlist when the day sells out and a clear picture of who is coming.
Sponsors kept visible
Attach sponsor logos to the event so they appear on the pages guests actually look at, not only on the tee signs.
Scoring without volunteers
Guests score from their own phones on a revocable link. Nothing to install, and no runner collecting cards at the turn.
Leaderboard for the room
Put the live leaderboard on the clubhouse screen during the meal so the presentation has something to build to.
Reporting after the event
Reports, CSV export and beta PDF leaderboard export for the write-up, the trustees and the sponsor thank-yous.
Money kept simple
Your plan is billed in pounds to the organisation. Entry fees, when you take them online, settle to your own connected account.
How a charity day tends to run
These are illustrative composites written to show the workflow, not case studies. They are not accounts of real events, charities or companies, and contain no real names, quotes or fundraising figures.
Illustrative example
Shotgun start, 27 teams
A full-field charity day with a shotgun start, hole sponsors and a dinner presentation.
- 1.Publish the event page with the sponsor logos in place.
- 2.Teams enter online; the waitlist opens when the field is full.
- 3.Assign groups and starting holes, then check teams in by QR at the desk.
- 4.Guests score from their phones; the board updates hole by hole.
- 5.Show the live leaderboard on the screen during dinner and present from it.
Illustrative example
Corporate client day, 40 guests
A relationship day where the golf matters less than the hospitality running smoothly.
- 1.Invite guests to a private-feeling event page and take entries centrally.
- 2.Group guests deliberately rather than by handicap.
- 3.Keep scoring light — Stableford points, no card admin for hosts.
- 4.Export the entry list afterwards for the follow-up.
Illustrative example
Small fundraiser, 32 players
A first-year fundraiser with a volunteer committee and no budget for software.
- 1.Run the whole event on the free plan.
- 2.Take entry payment offline and record entries on the event page.
- 3.Score from phones so two volunteers can run the day.
- 4.Export the CSV so next year starts from a list, not a memory.
Charity golf day questions
What does charity golf day software need to do?
Take team and individual entries, keep sponsors visible, organise a shotgun-style field, collect scores without volunteers running cards around, and produce a result the room can see at the presentation.
Can we show sponsors on the event page and leaderboard?
Yes. Sponsor logos can be attached to the event and appear on the public pages, which is usually what the sponsorship pack promised.
Can players pay their entry fee online?
Card checkout is available in beta through a connected payment account, and entry fees settle to that account rather than to RoundHQ. Many charity days still take payment by invoice or transfer and run the event page free while the beta continues.
Do volunteers need training?
The organiser dashboard is one screen per job — registrations, groups, check-in, leaderboard. Players only ever see a scoring link, so there is nothing to teach the field on the day.
Is there a check-in process on the morning?
Yes. Check-in can be run from the organiser dashboard, including QR check-in, so the registration desk knows who has arrived.
Can we put the leaderboard on a screen in the clubhouse?
Yes. The public leaderboard is a shareable link that runs full screen in any browser, which works for a clubhouse TV or a projector at dinner.
What do we get after the day for the trustees?
Reports and CSV export of entries and results, plus PDF leaderboard export in beta, so the write-up and thank-you letters do not start from a photograph of a scorecard.
What does it cost for a one-off charity day?
A single event is free on the free plan, or a one-off Event Pass in pounds unlocks the full event workflow without a subscription.
